Hello! My name is Amber O’Donnell. I am a middle school teacher from Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders in Austin, Texas. This will be my 7th year teaching math, and I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas State University. I am passionate about nurturing a deep and practical understanding of math in my students. As a first-year participant in the RET program, I am excited to immerse myself in new scientific realms and bring real-world science into the math classroom. In addition, I am eager to develop interdisciplinary projects that deepen my students' learning and make meaningful connections to their real world. This summer, as I take on the role of a lifelong learner, I will embrace the discomfort that comes with growth and wish to model the grace and resiliency I encourage in my own students.
