Hello! My name is Ana Medina Ramirez. I received my Bachelor’s in Education from UT Austin, and I’m excited to return years later as a RET participant. I just completed my fourth year as a dual-language teacher. I have been teaching 3rd grade at Pflugerville Elementary for 2 ½ years out of the four. I love being a self-contained teacher, but acknowledge that our limited planning and instructional time is not enough to give every subject equal priority. For this reason, I am excited to use this experience to deepen my understanding of best-practices and make my STEM teaching more meaningful. Also, it will be fun to bring back a unique hands-on learning experience to my school! This will be my first year as a RET participant, and I look forward to working and learning alongside everyone.
