My name is Brennan Cruser. I am a Special Education Resource teacher at Kocurek Elementary in Austin ISD. This is my 17th year in AISD and it is my 23rd year teaching elementary and coaching/training teachers. I have been a classroom teacher for all grades PreK-5 as well as a reading specialist, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, and now my current role in special education. My undergraduate degree is in history and psychology from Marquette University and my UT masters degree is in curriculum and instruction with a focus in literacy as well as mentor and coaching. I am looking forward to participating in the RET program and expanding my area of study to STEM in order to find more ways to engage my students and enrich the work I do with them. Outside of school I enjoy reading and travel and am generally pretty busy with my family. I have a son who just wrapped up his freshman year at TWU and my other son is about to be a senior at Austin High School.
