I’m a 4th year Ph.D student in Allan MacDonald’s group. I worked on electronic properties and thermal transports of tensile strained HgTe thin films, which is a 3D topological insulator. I also worked on the strong correlated states in optical lattices by solving the Bose-Hubbard model and found the half Landau level filling incompressible state. Currently, I’m doing research on fractional Chern insulators in 2D systems with Moire pattern. For example, twisted multilayer graphene with or without hBN substrate. I’m trying to find the fractional quantum Hall effect in those systems and understand how interactions playing a role.
