Industry Day

“Industry Day was a great opportunity to meet with the people who make hiring decisions at the types of places that I might want to work at after my graduate program. I've learned a lot of important lessons from this opportunity that have altered how I think about my research on a daily basis."

Our first Industry Day, in 2018, was for students, faculty, staff, and industry representatives to meet and learn from each other. With over 20 industry representatives (including Dow Chemical, Huntsman, Intel, Samsung Austin Semiconductor, Sandia National Labs, and Texas Instruments), undergraduate and graduate students were able to learn more about future career possibilities through the Career Panel and Networking Social. Industry representatives were able to learn about the work that the students were working on through the Poster Sessions. Mock Interviews gave students and industry representatives the opportunity to engage in a simulated job interview.
