Hello, I am Sammie Curtin. I just finished my 7th year teaching at Pickle Elementary. I started in the 2019-2020 school year teaching 4th grade math and science. Then the world shut down and we had to learn a new way to educate. I moved up to 5th grade with my students and continued teaching math and science for a year and half. My partner teacher left and my team combined our students and went fully departmentalized to where I only taught science for the rest of my
time at Pickle. I love teaching science and getting to see my students' love of science and confidence grow throughout the year. Next year I will be working at Linder Elementary teaching Kindergarten through 5th grade science and co-teaching the labs with the teachers. I am excited to learn from this experience, create partnerships, and bring back my learning to my campus.
