Brotherton Headshot

Graduate Research Assistant, Chemical Engineering, IRG 1

I am a third-year student in the doctoral program. My work in the MRSEC includes polymer synthesis for applications within the IRG. My largest project seeks to synthesize polymers with varying cationic-coordination energies and dielectric constant to gain an understanding of how these structural characteristics effect the properties of the electrolyte as a whole. Then, these structure-property relationships can be used to guide the design of more advanced electrolyte matrices. In my free time, I like to disc golf, watch American football and study the financial world.
