I’m Lisette, a first grade teacher in Austin ISD. I will be starting my 10th year teaching this next school year! I just finished living a full year in Austin this March, but before that I was living and teaching in Houston where I was born and raised. I’ve been taking as many trainings as I could here and when I heard about the RET opportunity, I jumped at the chance because I love to learn and I love to pass that on to my students as much as possible. In my spare time I like to go on motorcycle daytrips with my boyfriend, learn Portuguese (he’s Brazilian), hang out with our husky and two cats, bake bread, go thrift shopping, and get tons of free things for my classroom :)
