The Center for Dynamics and Control of Materials is proud to announce that Dr. Wennie Wang has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Maria Goeppert Mayer Award by the American Physical Society (APS). This honor recognizes outstanding achievements by women in the field of physics.

Dr. Wang is being celebrated for her outstanding contributions in to the field of materials science, including pioneering research on defective transition metal oxides for energy sustainability, a commitment to broadening participation of  in computational materials science, and leadership and advocacy in the scientific community. Her dedication to both science and mentorship has inspired many within the lab and the broader community.
