I work in theoretical condensed matter physics. Currently, I am interested in the strong correlation physics observed in twisted bilayers of graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides. With the goal of understanding the correlated insulating phases in these systems, I am calculating the spectra of collective excitations, which lets us study their optical properties, and construct effective low-energy spin models.
I am also interested in Floquet topological phases and their experimental detection, and fracton topological order.
