Graduate Research Assistant, Chemistry, IRG 1

Charles Kofi Ofosu is a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. He is co-advised by Professors Delia Milliron and Thomas Truskett, both in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering. He received his B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Data Science from Macalester College, MN in 2019. Prior to enrolling at UT Austin, he worked as a research technician at Sherwin-Williams Company where he investigated the corrosion resistance of organic coatings. In the Milliron and Truskett groups, Kofi studies how the fundamental properties of metal oxide nanocrystals affect their assembly into ordered networks. Beyond research, he is involved with the student leadership council of the Centre for Dynamics and Control of Materials as co-chair of the Outreach Team.
