Hi!

My name is Ryan Nittinger, and I'm coming from Rodriguez Elementary School (Austin ISD), where I had the privilege of teaching for 8 years. I've had the pleasure of teaching 5th grade for 2 years and 4th grade for 6 years.

I graduated from Penn State University in 2013, and after that, I had the opportunity to create an English curriculum for a non-profit organization in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This experience has taught me the importance of adapting to new environments and being flexible in my teaching approach.

In my classroom, I'm a big believer in kinesthetic learning and introducing structured curiosity within my educational environment. I believe that hands-on activities and inquiry-based learning can help students develop a deeper understanding of complex concepts.

Now, I'm excited to start this new opportunity and learn more about engineering. I'm eager to further explore the ways in which engineering can be explored within a 5th grade classroom, how it can be applied to real-world problems and how it can be used to make a positive impact on our community. I'm looking forward to discussing my ideas and (most of all) learning more about the field with all of you.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me, and I'm looking forward to working with each of you!
